This was an experimental NFT project designed around the formation of an online community dedicated to ushering in semi-direct democracy through the creation of a citizen-owned social networking platform. The collection contains 1000 unique NFT images that can be used as tokens to join the Founders Tribe; a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) on the Ethereum blockchain. The central theme behind the project is the chrysalis which turns the caterpillar into the butterfly. The NFTs were created digitally with the four wings and body sections varying in each coin to lend unique, one-of-a-kind properties. Because of this project’s forward-looking, Utopian nature, fonts were chosen to reflect an atmosphere of science fiction. Rich, glowing colours and golden tones were leveraged to lend a treasure-like feeling to each NFT coin. I also produced a short documentary to explain the idea. It was edited on Adobe Premier with an original soundtrack produced on Logic.
